Reel Tidbits: A Single Stroke Masterpiece and The Amazing Spider-Man's New Look

A new segment we like to call Reel Tidbits unoriginal I know but its straight to the point. Its something to hold you guys over till all our writers get their affairs in order and start posting at a more steady pace (cough! john).

First up a really cool piece of art that anyone where half a brain can appreciate. I won't say any more than watch this video in its entirety.

What control and poise!?

Its little more special to those born on the year of snake like yours truly! Here is the list of the last 6 snake years to see if bare the spirit of the serpent 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989 and 2001.

Next up we're talking movie news in the form of the new costume Andrew Garfield will be sporting The Amazing Spider-man 2. Just so you know I didn't care much for the first Amazing Spider-man movie because as a fan of Spider-man comics I felt they got the core of Peter Parker's character all wrong and that costume was just a abomination. It was a good movie but not a good Spider-man movie, I could go on and on about my gripes about it but I'll save that for another time.

Now this is acceptable and suit Peter Parker would be proud of

You know what? I like this no! I really like this! Wow here I was badmouthing the last movie and now they might just have me sold on the next one with just a partial image of this new costume. Whats changed? Gone is the uncomfortable looking shiny rubber suit that had high visible bumps and ridges that looked like it was cutting off blood to his brain (probably explain why Peter took off his mask so much in the last film). The second time round they're going with a new more breathable fabric like material and more subdued texture patterns which is much more easy on the eyes. Speaking of eyes lets look at Spider-man's new shades which is the cherry on the cake for me. The new eyes have easily more personality with the white coloring and thick black outlines that pay homage to the Spider-man comic books. The old ones were fashioned out of reflective sport eye wear that looked cold, unfriendly and just down right ugly. Lets hope the rest of the new costume will looks as amazing as the mask.

"Update"
New photo have surfaced on The Amazing Spider-man 2 set that just started shooting in New York with Andrew Garfield suited up and in his civvies. I'm happy to report that the rest of the costume looks as good as the first piece of promotional material release earlier this week, harking back to the more recognizable Spider-man suit.

Here are a couple of the new pictures and if you wish to see more head on over via: Bleedingcool.com who first posted these images
